What are Steel Rails? Steel Foundations
Rails are steel bars that have been hot rolled into a rail profile. They are used as railroad tracks for other steel-wheeled vehicles and overhead cranes.
Rails are hot rolled from continuously cast blooms or rounds having the appropriate cross-section for the rails to be produced. They can also be rolled from near-net shape continuous cast rails, which saves time, energy, and cost by minimizing the processing needed to get the rail to its final shape.
